Properties : white crystal or granules. Odorless, salty and bitter. Deliquescent. Iodine is gradually precipitated in air and aqueous solution to turn yellow or brown. 1 g was dissolved in 0.5 ml of water, about 2 ml of ethanol, 1 ml of glycerol, and dissolved in acetone. It can be dissolved in its own crystal water by heating to 64.3 °C.
Storage : Sealed and stored in the dark.
